Stayed at a lodge with an "outdoor swimming pool" - fancy! Also got to use a "shared kitchen" with strangers, so fun! And don't get me started on the "hot tub" - absolutely divine!
Nothing like having a "fridge" and a "stovetop" in the wild, really brings out the African bush experience! But wait, where's Wonderboom Airport?

I absolutely loved the beautiful and tasteful decoration throughout the hotel. The attention to detail in the design of the rooms and the general areas was amazing. As a senior woman, I appreciate that the hotel was easily accessible for us. There were no steep stairs or difficult pathways to navigate, making our stay comfortable and enjoyable.
The only thing I would ask for to make the vacation even better for senior people is more assistance from the staff. While the children working there were friendly, a little extra help and attention to our needs would have been appreciated.

Lookout Safari Lodge exceeded our expectations with the value for money. The room was stunning, with a breathtaking open plan shower and a bathtub overlooking the window. The white sheets were clean and comfortable, and we absolutely adored the private jacuzzi. The location was conveniently only a short drive from home, and the staff welcomed us warmly and treated us with genuine friendliness. The lodge and facilities were excellent, providing a rustic and immersive bush experience with all the luxuries we desired. We can't wait to return.
When it comes to breakfast items, having an indoor kitchen would have been preferable as the outdoor kitchen became dusty after a longer stay. Additionally, it was a bit challenging to prep food while fending off insects attracted to the light.

Loved the pool, but it was a real pleasure to share the kitchen with strangers. Also, the hot tub was great for taking a dip after a long day of pretending to care about wildlife.
The toaster. Because who needs toasted bread when you can have a cold, soggy one instead?

The spacious rooms were beautifully designed, making us feel right at home. We loved how the lodge seamlessly blended with the outdoors, allowing us to enjoy the African bush experience in style and comfort. The facilities provided were excellent, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable. From the moment we arrived, Audrey greeted us warmly and even assisted us with our self-drive permits. We couldn't have asked for a better place to relax and bond as a family.
My kids wished there were more outdoor activities specifically tailored for children.

Stayed at a lodge with beautiful rooms and an outdoor swimming pool. Loved the hot tub and free parking. Kitchen had everything I needed. Great TV, comfy seating, and a lovely garden view. Spent time relaxing in the shared lounge and garden. Close to the New Bird Sanctuary and Wonderboom Nature Reserve.
Oh, there was nothing I didn't like. It was all just perfect.

The bungalow room was beautifully decorated, giving it an African bush vibe. The staff were welcoming and pleasant. The location was remote, providing a sense of tranquility. The communal lookout was a great spot to watch the stunning sunset. I also appreciated the easy access to the game trails and the nearby restaurants.
The communication could have been better, especially regarding additional fees upon check-out and the need to verify our stay. It would have been helpful to know about the animals that frequent the waterhole at specific times of the day.

The room at Lookout Safari Lodge was so cozy and comfortable. I loved the rustic feel and the beautiful garden views. It felt like a peaceful retreat from the city.
Personally, I found the kitchenware in the chalet a bit limited. But hey, some people might not mind it at all!

Loved the outdoor pool, shared kitchen and hot tub. Parking was great, but who needs a car when you can just hitch a ride with the animals?
No fridge in my chalet. How am I supposed to keep my champagne cold?

We were just a short drive away from the University of Pretoria and Union Buildings, which meant we got to explore some cool places during the day. The nearest airport was also super close, making it easy for us to hop on a plane and start our adventure. The vibe at the Lodge was perfect for us young party animals, with awesome music playing and a great party atmosphere. We had a blast!
The only thing we wish was different was that the Lodge could have organized some fun activities specifically for young party-goers. Don't get me wrong, the place was amazing, but it would have been even more epic if there were some wild parties or themed events happening.

I absolutely loved the beautiful decor of the lodge! It had such a warm and cozy atmosphere that made me feel right at home. The common areas were tastefully furnished and had plenty of comfortable seating for relaxing and socializing. And the best part was that everything was easily accessible for us senior folks. There were handrails in all the right places and no stairs to climb, making it easy for us to navigate around the lodge without any issues. It was a perfect setup for a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
Just one small thing I would suggest for a better vacation experience for senior people like me is to have a few more options for activities within the lodge itself. While the lodge had lovely common areas and a swimming pool, it would have been nice to have a few more activities that catered specifically to seniors.
